The grin, she admits, is nice. He could use a bit of a haircut though, but she's not picky when it comes to having someone to sit and drink with. It's better than being alone.
"As I said, it's nothing to worry about hon." She waves the bartender over so her new drinking buddy could order himself something. "So, how long have you been here? You're a fresh face."
He's probably been in the City for longer than she thinks, but he's been laying low. No time to establish connections, yet, so he's been waiting to see who the major players in the place are -- and how he can find out more about them.
At least he's wearing clean clothes, Sally.
"Oh -- a few months, now. I just do a little better at keeping my face off the network, I s'pose."
"Guess I just can't keep mine off it, then." There's a light laugh at her own expense, she knows her attention-seeking is ridiculous to some people, she'll just never do anything to change it.
"Shame though. We could use a handsome face on the network every so often. Tony Stark can only do so much for us gals." Yup, she's flirting.
And Haymitch laughs in return, just a little uglier than Sally's.
"Trust me, you don't want to have my face on the network any more than it has to be." He's too paranoid about what's been happening in the City to be putting his face on there too often. "And all this? This is definitely about the best I can do." He didn't even fall over on his way to meet her! Always a plus.
"Pretty ladies are always welcome in front of a camera. The Capitol's made that clear enough at home, I assume the same's true here."
"It's true anywhere, I find. At least, of the two places I've been to." She's not exactly a dimension hopping sort. But hey, as a pin-up girl she knows how welcome beautiful women are when it comes to well, anything.
It's when you start getting older when you have to worry.
She leans forward a bit, taking a light sip of her drink.
"The Capitol, huh? Suppose it would be too bold of me to assume you're talking about the US."
"Used to be, a long time ago. Or that's the rumour." Nobody from Panem talked much about what life was like before the world was separated into the Districts and the Capitol, really, and the Capitol probably had no small part in that.
Haymitch takes a sip of his own drink once the whiskey shows up, raising it in cheers to Sally.
"This place doesn't look anything like the Districts or the Capitol, though, if you ask me."
Ah, so he's from some sort of future. Possibly. Well, an alternate future or it very well could be the future of where she's from...bah, she never liked thinking about these alternate dimensions. She takes another drink.
"And I would take that as a good thing, hm? A little vacation from the usual."

"Only a little less, mind you."
